At present, the widely used two-in-one filtration and washing devices in the pharmaceutical industry all adopt flat plate sintered mesh filtration inside. Through the dual action of the lifting and rotation of the internal agitator, the solid residues inside are discharged outside the machine. However, the conventional devices not only have poor filtration effects but also are prone to filtrate leakage, and the washing is troublesome for users. It is not conducive to users performing multiple operations. Moreover, the conventional two-in-one filtration and washing system often fails to quickly discharge the filtrate, and it is not convenient for the operator to thoroughly clean the device. It is also prone to leakage and waste of filtrate.

The high-efficiency cylinder-conical filtration and washing two-in-one developed by Wuxi Sungrui features a top cover, cylinder and conical spherical shell connected by flanges to form a closed container. The stirring drive device rotates the central shaft and the spiral stirring device surrounding the central shaft, driving the materials to achieve the stirring operation. The filtering device on the outer side wall of the container can filter the material. The filtrate passes through the filtering device and is collected by the filtrate collection plate, and is discharged from the cylinder through the filtrate outlet. The conical spherical shell at the bottom of the container, in conjunction with the bottom stirring device that fits the inner surface of the spherical structure of the conical spherical shell, can ensure that there are no operational dead corners for the materials inside the container, making the stirring more uniform and avoiding material waste.

The working principle of conical filtration and washing in one
The conical and cylindrical filtration and washing combined type is a filtration device composed of multiple layers of orifice plates and filtration media stacked inside the cone or cylinder. It is equipped with a stirring shaft and a variable-angle and variable-lead spiral stirring device inside. During filtration, it stirs, lifts and scrapes the material, and automatically pushes out the filter cake when unloading. This machine can perform vacuum filtration or pressure filtration. During the filtration process, the scraper inside the machine constantly scrapes off the filter cake on the filter screen, allowing the material to be filtered under the condition of a thin layer of filter cake, with a very high filtration rate.
If the material needs to be washed, the slurry can first be filtered dry in the machine, then the washing liquid can be added. By using the rotation and stirring of the scraper, agitator and squeezing screw inside the machine, the filter cake can be re-slurry. At this time, the re-slurry material can be filtered into a filter cake by applying pressure or vacuuming. By repeatedly filtering the slurry in this way, the material can be thoroughly washed, and finally all the filter cake can be extruded out of the machine.
(1) Pressure filtration or vacuum filtration
The solid-liquid mixture slurry produced by the upstream reaction vessel or crystallization equipment is fed into the tank of the two-in-one equipment. Open the filtrate outlet at the bottom and introduce compressed air or nitrogen and other gases into the equipment to pressurize and filter the solid-liquid mixture that has undergone the reaction until the material inside the machine is dried. Vacuum can also be drawn at the filtrate outlet to perform vacuum filtration on the material until the filtrate is completely drained. During filtration, the hollow shaft and hollow screw ribbon can be rotated clockwise (viewed from the top down) to lift the material. At the same time, the hollow screw ribbon can limit the thickness of the filter cake layer while rotating, allowing the material to be filtered under the condition of a thin filter cake layer, thereby increasing the filtration rate. For materials that are easy to filter, there is no need to stir during filtration; just filter the materials dry directly.
(2) It can be washed and filtered multiple times
Some materials need to be washed multiple times after filtration. The reaction filtration and drying multi-functional machine is an ideal device for repeated and multiple washes of materials. After the material is pressed dry in the machine, washing liquid can be added to the top washing liquid inlet. Then, through the stirring of the hollow shaft and hollow screw ribbon, the filter cake is uniformly re-pulped. After the re-pulping is stirred evenly, the material is pressed dry again. If one wash is not enough, multiple washes can be carried out. At this time, just repeat the above steps several times. The operation is convenient and the labor intensity is extremely low.
The washing of materials by the above-mentioned method is called the intermittent washing method. Since the material is pressed dry each time and then the washing liquid is added for washing, although the valve is opened and closed more frequently during operation, less washing liquid is used. This machine can also continuously wash materials. That is, the washing liquid is continuously pumped in by a pump or other methods, and the pressure of the washing liquid is used for filtration. The hollow shaft and hollow screw ribbon constantly stir, and the filtrate is continuously discharged from the filtrate outlet until the washing requirements are met. Finally, the filter cake is dried by pressing. This continuous washing method usually requires more washing solution than intermittent washing, but it is more convenient to operate.

Performance characteristics of conical filtration and washing in one
(1) The fully enclosed system provides a very good operating environment and is particularly suitable for the filtration and washing of toxic, flammable, explosive and other dangerous products, as well as fresh and delicious food, biological products, medicines and biological products that are not allowed to be contaminated.
(2) Continuous operation with extremely low labor intensity. It has a large operational flexibility and can adjust the operation cycle by regulating the filtration pressure difference, rotational speed, screw extrusion lead, etc., to adapt to changes in process conditions.
(3) It can both concentrate and filter. Especially when it is necessary to wash the materials, the materials can be concentrated first and then thoroughly washed in a suspended state. Finally, they can be pressed and filtered. This can reduce the handling of materials, minimize waste, and there is no need for slurry during washing. The quality of the processed products is very high.
(4) This machine can form a very thin filter cake on the surface of the filter medium or perform filtration without a filter cake. The filtration rate per unit filtration area is very high, so the equipment is small and compact.
(5) It can conveniently and repeatedly filter and wash materials, enabling the functions of multiple unit devices to be accomplished on this one machine, thereby significantly reducing equipment costs, floor space, labor intensity, energy consumption, etc. When the cylindrical and conical filtration and washing are combined into one, it is particularly suitable for materials with high washing requirements that need to be repeatedly re-washed and filtered, and it can also save washing liquid.
(6) The material can be subjected to pressure filtration at a relatively high pressure, or vacuum filtration can also be carried out. A jacket is added to the outside of the filter to heat, cool or insulate the material for filtration, so as to meet the requirements of various process conditions.
