YPG type pressure spray dryer

  A pressure spray dryer is a device that can simultaneously complete drying and granulation. The raw material liquid can be a solution, emulsion or suspension, or it can be a molten liquid or paste. The dried products can be made into powder, granules, hollow spheres or agglomerates as required. According to the process requirements, the pressure and flow rate of the material liquid pump and the size of the spray holes can be adjusted to obtain spherical particles of the required size ratio.

The working principle of pressure spray dryer

A solution, emulsion, suspension or slurry is sprayed into fine droplets in hot air. As it floats down, water is evaporated and it becomes a powder or granular product. Hot air is introduced at the top of the drying tower, and at the same time, the material liquid is sent to the top of the tower by a high-pressure pump. After passing through the atomizer, it is sprayed into fine droplets. When the droplets come into contact with the high-temperature hot air, the moisture evaporates rapidly. In a very short time, it becomes the dried product and is discharged from the bottom of the drying tower. After the hot air comes into contact with the liquid droplets, its temperature drops significantly and the humidity increases. It is then extracted as exhaust gas by the exhaust fan, and the fine powder carried in the exhaust gas is recovered by the separation device.

There are different options for micro-powder separation and recovery devices, such as cyclone separators (common type and multiple combination types), bag filters, cyclone separator + bag filter, cyclone separator + wet dust collector, bag filter + wet dust collector, etc. We can provide different recycling devices based on the characteristics of different products and the requirements of customers.

Depending on the product characteristics and requirements, after spray drying, secondary drying systems (such as ZLG vibrating fluidized bed or air flow conveying), dehumidification systems, batching systems, or powder screening systems can be equipped.

If the customer requires the product to have larger particles, such as a diameter of 2 to 3 millimeters, and to increase solubility, our company can provide a separate agglomeration granulation system.

The application scope of pressure spray dryers

(1) Food industry: Whole milk powder, custard, cocoa milk powder, milk substitute powder, egg white (yellow), etc. Oats, chicken essence, coffee, instant tea, seasoned meat, protein, soy, peanut protein, protein hydrolysate, etc. Corn slurry, corn starch, glucose, pectin, maltose, potassium sorbate, pumpkin powder, etc.

(2) Pharmaceuticals: Chinese herbal extracts, medicinal gums, yeast, vitamins, antibiotics, amylase, lipase, etc.

(3) Plastic resins: AB, ABS emulsion, urea-formaldehyde resin, phenolic resin, melamine (urea-formaldehyde) resin, polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, etc.

(4) Detergents: high-grade laundry powder, regular laundry powder, soap powder, baking soda, emulsifiers, brighteners, phosphoric acid agents, etc.

(5) Chemical industry: sodium (potassium) fluoride, basic dyes and pigments, dye intermediates, Mn3o4, formaldehyde silicic acid, catalysts, sulfuric acid agents, amino acids, silica, etc.

(6) Ceramics: alumina, tile materials, magnesium oxide, talc, etc.

(1) The nominal moisture evaporation is calculated based on an intake air temperature of 350 degrees and an exhaust air temperature of 85 to 90 degrees.

(1) Name and physical properties of liquid materials: solid content (or water content), viscosity, surface tension, PH value, etc.

(2) Product features: Powder capacity after drying, allowable residual moisture content, particle size range, and allowable maximum temperature;

(3) Special requirements (if any) : specific gravity range, color, aroma, etc.

(4) Output and daily working hours;

(5) Available energy sources: steam pressure, electricity, coal, oil, natural gas, liquefied gas and various other combustibles;

(6) Control requirements: Control methods for inlet and outlet air temperatures, liquid supply systems, air hammers, etc., as well as the control methods of the entire system;

(7) Material collection requirements: Select cyclone type, bag filter and wet dust collector, etc. based on product characteristics and environmental requirements;
